This dataset is separate from published market planning ranges. It contains only outcomes homeowners explicitly chose to share after installation.
Privacy and publication threshold
CoolCompare stores ZIP3—not a full ZIP—and excludes names, contact details, contractor identity, serial numbers, permit records and free-text notes. Contributions are retained for no more than two years and can be deleted using the private authority saved in the contributor's browser.
A ZIP3 and system-type group appears only after at least 20 valid contributions. Averages describe submitted projects and are not a contractor quote, market median or promise of local pricing.
No group has reached the publication threshold yet.
We will not display thin or identifying samples. Use the published planning ranges while the opt-in dataset grows.
