Heat-pump air can feel cooler—but the home should still meet the load.

Supply air from a heat pump may feel less hot than furnace air. Outdoor temperature, defrost, thermostat staging, auxiliary heat, airflow and equipment performance all affect whether the system maintains the setpoint.
